Series consists of financial records created, used, or received by the Board of Governors and its financial officers and finance-related committees. Documents include budgets, financial statements, invoices, bills of exchange, ledgers, Financial officers' and Treasurers' records. Committees that are not primarily finance-oriented are in the Committees series: 6.

Financial records including counts, bills of exchange, receipts, correspondence, vouchers, bonds, cheques, and statements.

Records documenting the positions of Treasurer, Bursar, Secretary and Agent, including treasurer's reports, treasurer's account, bursars account, correspondence, and statements. Series also include files of A. H. Whitman, who played a prominent role in managing the University's finances.

Sub-series consists of resolutions, correspondence, and minutes.

Records include memoranda, indentures and financial statements relating to agreements made between the University and other parties, including Dalhousie University, Ward, Wells, Dreshman, Gates, and the Eastern Trust Company.

Series consists of treasury books, financial budgets, cheque books, and other records pertaining to the financial records of the various Alexandra Society branches.

Records of the Finance Committee, including minutes, agendas, notes, reports, resolutions, and recommendations.

Sub-series consists of correspondence.

Sub-series contains subject files kept by School of Journalism on its various spaces and equipment. Files contain primarily invoices, owner's manuals, and correspondence.

The Extension Movement, or Extension Fund, began in 1911 and involved widespread canvassing of Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
