Ray Lawson, desired to establish 10 scholarships at $400.00 each, per annum, tenable for three or four years, subject (in part) to the following conditions: - known as 'Chancellor's Scholarships' 1. Open to the boys of the Maritimes intending to enter business, commerce or industry after graduation. 2. Tenable three or four years, depending on entrance from Grade xi or Grade xii. 3. $400.00 for three or four years,. keeping at least a standard of 65%. 4. Must be in Residence." According to a minute from 1949, the Chancellor's Scholarships were included in, or subsumed under, the Scholarship & Prize Fund.
