The Hodgson Trust is the result of a bequest from the Rev. George W. Hodgson. The bequest was received in September of 1885. Reference to a scholarship in Hodgson's name is given in a minute from 1889. In 1904 a letter was received by the Board from Hodgson's brother warning of the withdrawal of the bequest in case of union with Dalhousie. A 1911 letter to the Board describes the College as a residuary legatee of Hodgson. In 1913 the Hodgson Estate was handed over to the Eastern Trust Company.
Sub-series consists of correspondence, statements, and ledger sheets.
