The Alumni has produced a number of publications over the years to inform graduates about events of interest to them, and births, marriages and deaths of former classmates, other graduates, and people with connections to the University. These titles include Tidings and predecessor newsletters, and, since 2006, e-mailed newsletters. The Alumni Association maintained a website, www.ukcalumni.com, from the early 2000s as a way to provide information to alumni, but it has since become defunct. Series includes records relating to the preparation and printing of publications that the Alumni Association has produced or financed, including the newsletter, Tidings [Tidings from King's], which commenced publication in 1955, and its predecessors; brochures that the Association has mailed to alumni; and manuscript and publishing information for two published histories of the University: King's College: a Chronicle, by Fenwick Williams Vroom (1941, Halifax, Imperial Publishing); and 1789: All the King's Men: the story of a colonial university by Mark DeWolf and
George Flie (1972, Halifax, the Alumni Association). The series also includes pages printed from the Alumni Association former website, www.ukcalumni.com.

Also included are printed copies of e-mailed newsletters that the Alumni Officer has sent to alumni from time to time.

Tidings has been catalogued and is held in the Library's Special Collections, catalogue number LH 3 KS T52. The Alumni formed its first official branch, in Halifax, as early as 1937. Other branches have been founded at various times, with the greatest number of branches appearing during the 1950s, when they were formed in major cities throughout Canada, the United States, and abroad.

Series consists of records relating to the formation and operation of branches in various cities in Canada and outside the country. These include constitutions, notices, meeting minutes and correspondence.

Fonds contain records related to the founding, history, and upkeep of the Alumni Association of the University of King’s College. Documents reflect all aspects of the Association’s jurisdiction and include meeting minutes and agendas; governance documents; financial, operational, insurance information, administrative structure, as well as other aspects of the Association.

Series consists of lists of recent graduates (i.e., new alumni), necrology lists, correspondence and invoices relating to running the Alumni Association and its office.
