              Series consists of five letters John George Anderson wrote to Rowley and one other.

              John George Anderson was born at Stoneywool, on the Island of Harray, in the Orkneys, Scotland, in 1866. He was educated at St. Andrew's Central School in Manitoba, and obtained a B.A. (1886) and B.D. (1888) from St. John's College, Winnipeg, Manitboe. He was ordained deacon in 1889, then priest in 1890, and worked as a missionary for the Church Missionary Society at Lac Seul, Ontario, from 1889 to 1890. He was the Incumbent of St. Peter's Church in Dynevor, Manitoba from 1890 to 1909, when he was consecrated Bishop of Moosonee. In the same year, he recieved an honourary D.D. from St. John's College. He became the Metropolitan of Ontario in 1940, and passed away in 1943.
